12:20 pm
Well it's been a while since I last updated this thing, but then again, there's been nothing new to report since last time, other than the fact I got myself a new LCD :) oooh boy is it awesome :) I always had apprehensions about going to an LCD because everyone's said the quality is lower than a CRT, and in some instances they're correct, but also in other aspects it was much sharper than my previous CRT as well. Things like menus and icons in my games are much more vibrant, while the edges of polygons and text tend to seem a little rougher, which I can easily overlook.

I've been on some really messed up work schedules which is playing havoc with me, having to pull up to 17 hour days, then having to adjust my schedule so I can get enough sleep afterwards, but then I get stuck on that schedule for a while because I don't want to swich back and put further strain on myself until after the holidays :) The company gets a paid week off after Christmas, but I'll still have to work (which is ok, since they're gonna give me an extra week of vacation somewhere in the year :)

11:19 am - Days Off
man I love days off. I just got off a 4 day weekend at work, and I tell you, it felt like I had a year to do stuff. This schedule isn't half bad, work 10 days, get 4 off bascially...we don't always stick to that schedule, but I hope it becomes a bit regular (though I prefer working weekends...I hate the crowds when I have to go do stuff.) I bought Van Helsing over the break, and 2 more seasons of Babylon 5. B5 is of course, awesome. Van Helsing....well it sucked basically. Visually impressive, it just suffered from every other aspect. The one thing that makes it worth buying...the werewolves!! OMG...so utterly sexy in that movie. The Styraco Directors Cut of VH would be approximately 5-6 minutes or so ;) *chuckle*. Other than that...not much else...hrmm lunch is soon, and I'm starving ^.^

Well, another update filled with no useful information :) I've been doing so much work lately that there's nothing really exciting to report. We don't have any more overtime, which is good, because we were all starting to feel the effects of it. One problem I have is my eyelids keep twitching. I know it's probably from the hours we were doing, and the fact I'm staring at an LCD for the duration of the day...but the thing is I notice myself straining quite a bit and have to force myself to relax. That could just be a byproduct of lack of sleep, or perhaps it's time I got my perscription checked again for my glasses. This leads into the fact I have no eye insurance T_T so lets hope I get my full promotion soon so I can get the good benefits package that they have to offer. The downside is from what I hear you can only either get glasses or contacts in one year, so if I got new glasses, I'd have to wait till next year to get contacts, or vice versa...and that also means no awesome yellow wolf eye contacts for a while if I got glasses :( *whine* In any case I'm going to try to cut back the time I stare at the PC screens and hopefully reduce the stress on my eyes.

11:32 pm - Donkey Konga!
I picked up a new toy in the form of Donkey Konga for the Gamecube. It comes with adoreable little bongos (or Congas? :) and is a blast to play. My friend bought a set of congas too and we just played all night long. My hands are sore now, because on top of the conga set is a little vent that detects when you clap, so some of the moves required in the game is clapping, and boy...3-4 hours of clapping and the paws get tingly ^.^ I recommend this game, especially for parties since up to 4 people can play :). I also picked up Sly Cooper, even though my friend has the PS2, I can still take it to work and play it during all the downtime we have. It's quite an amazing game, and I had no idea it had such an adoreable vixen in it :) I'm sure this entry makes no sense, as I'm really tired, but oh well :) I'll write more tomorrow :)

8:26 pm - Digimon: Rumble Arena 2
OMG, this game surprised the hell out of me :) I read good reviews of it, so I figured what the heck, and picked it up, knowing all the Digimon games haven't had the best track records. I was quite surprised. This game is absolutely amazing :) Imagine a Super Smash Bros. with nothing but Digimon characters, and most of the original (yes still US :( voices. It's amazing, have been playing it non stop since I got home. Granted the replay isn't all that unless you're a die hard Digimon fan, which I am ;). I highly recommend it, and give it a 9/10, just for the fact it has no Renamon in it :( It has my other favs though, Gabumon, Agumon, Veemon, and Guilmon :) *purrr* :)

6:46 am - I must have something to do!!
Ok, lets try this again since twice now it hasn't saved my update. Anyway! I'm here at work...again....at 6am.... *thump*. It's not all that bad actually, though it's very tiring on the body. I basically can't have any sort of life outside my job while we're on this insane shift. My friend came over last night, watched some Shaolin Soccer and drank a few beers, and every time I do that or go out, I invariably wake up slightly later than normal. I guess this is acceptable, noting that we're working such crazy hours, so I'm not too concerned. I'm pretty much settled into my new role, and so is the other new guy, which I'm glad for, he seemed quite nervous when we first started but I think he'll be ok now. The only problem is on the weekend....there's absolutely nothing to do if no big games are in, so we find little things to do like clean, and do normal maintenance on the computers, but after that....I can only surf the web for so long before I run out of things to search for. I'm thinking of buying a PSTwo (because they're so cute! ^.^) and bringing it in to watch some movies on, besides the fact I never really owned a PS2 before, and now since Andrew got one, it's got me in the mood to pick one up as well :) (Well that, and the fact I'm ready for GT4 *drool*

Speaking of cars, I stopped by the dealership yesterday to take a look at my baby :) For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about....

Ok hope that worked, since I'm not posting with my usual software. Ohh it's such a beautiful car, the pictures don't do it justice at all. I could have spent hours looking at it. I doubt I'll be able to get this by the end of the year unfortunately, so maybe I can make it a birfday present for me *giggle*

Ok, well...I guess I'll send this off and try to find something to do :)

7:53 am - Minor update here
Well, I know I haven't updated this in a while, but I haven't really had the time to do so. The big news is I scored a promotion at work! :) It's pretty frickin awesome, I'll get a parking spot, company cel phone, and lots of benefits with greatly increased pay! *cheer* This is exactly what I needed and I feel quite happy (well..at least I will when the new paychecks start arriving ;) The people I work with are very cool, and all have very different personalities which makes the job much more interesting. It can get quite busy but so far I've been able to handle it...however there are days when there seriously isn't anything to do, so I need to bring in something to pass the time T_T hehe. The other downside is when there is anyone working overtime, then we have to work it too, so I've been pulling 72-77 hour work weeks for the past few weeks (hence no updates!) But that should be ending soon. I don't mind though, I really needed the cash for debts. I'll let this go and try to update something later on!

12:36 pm - Feral!
Finally got back from Feral! and boy was it more than I had ever hoped for. I met a lot of nice furs there and the setting was amazing. Some people did find the weather a bit of a bother, but coming from heat and sun, the overcast and rainy climate was wonderful. Definately one of my favourate times there was going Kayaking with Qeveren and Andrew. The water was perfect, and was my first time Kayaking as well. The food was awesome...I just can't say enough about it...although the best part....it's back at Arowhon next year too! ^.^ I'll be saving up and definately making a return. I will post more eventually but right now I'm basically a walking corpse, so I'll try to find some sort of energy without falling asleep at work hehe.

6:48 pm - Finally got around to updating this thing! :)
I know it's been forever since I updated my journal, but it's all for good reasons honest! :) I've been working crazy overtime hours pretty much without a day off for weeks and weeks (well ok, I finally had a day off the other day :) but things are going really well...I paid off one of my credit cards, so now I only have one left and then I'll be debt free, a frightening concept to be sure, since I haven't been out of the red in about 5 years or so! My Maya classes are going well, I'm learning a heck of a lot on that as well! That and the fact I still like my job is quite an awesome feeling! :) *hugs to everyone out there* :)

9:32 pm - Hrmm...yesss this LJ thingy :)
Hehe well I haven't updated this in, well forever :) but the good news is I have a new job, it's a fun job, I actually like doing it *AND* I get paid....for playing video games :) *GLEE* So for once in a long long time I'm feeling happy, and content, and accomplished for once :) a job to take my mind away from crappiness, and from sitting around on my ass doing nuffin! so now I do what I'd do at home (not with my games of choice however) and get paid for it :) Life right now is quite good :). Umm I'm sure I'll post more stuff later, just adding in a lil note for the heck of it!

7:02 pm
Just got back from a very nice BBQ with my friends at a park...very very relaxing and is what I needed :) Time to put the snout back to the grindstone and pick up a job. At least one of my friends can get me a job fairly easy at his place, so I might end up doing that...and I might even enjoy it too, but in any case...it pays the bills and keeps me hapy!

4:05 pm - Need something new.
Well figure I'll throw up an update. Nothing new as usual. I've been playing Horizons less and less because the dragons on there are just too tedious to keep up with. I'm happy where I am with my lil guy so I don't feel bad leaving him as he is for a while until they fix some issues. What I really need is a job! more than anything. Been applying from place to place but you know how it can be, especially getting into a difficult industry. I"m sure that someone will respond eventually so I'm not stressing out too much, just bored really. I think I'm gonna go drive somewhere, dunno to where, but just to get away for a little while. Anyway have fun everyone :)

7:48 pm - heh finally an update!
phew sorry it's been so long, though there's nothing much to report really. I got my tablet for Christmas *CHEEER* :) so I've been slowly playing with this weird thing and figuring it out. My job ended on New Years Eve, another good point as I am freee! so basically just been applying to new places, including one doing animation restoration, which could be fun! if they give me a call back *crosses talons*. Also picked up and started playing Horizons...of course because you could play as a dragon, and 'lil Styraco (no not that one Qevvie ;) is doing very well! He's one of the strongest dragons on the server and still growing! I'm just waiting until he grows up and then he can fly. :) *purr*

12:53 pm - Gonna be a nice clean slate
Well I finally had enough, last night once again I was stuck all by myself for the majority of the night, couldn't get anything done, I couldn't even eat either, so I went most of the night hungry and angry hehe, which doesn't make for a happy dragon! So I did what I could and left my two weeks notice on the manager's desk. I figured hell, for a new years I might as well start it off with a new job. This has been coming for some time and not just a rash last minute thing, The manager knew I was quitting soon, so thats that. :) The great part is the district manager came in this morning and I got an apology from the manager about all this, which is good but the damage has been done. At least the DM said "well take as much overtime as you want until then, we don't care" So time for some double overtime baby! :)

current mood: relieved
